Together we can do much.

Updated: Apr 7, 2023

First, we thank Helen Keller for her timeless inspiration and quote!

Many startups are founded with a social mission or purpose, such as reducing carbon emissions, improving access to healthcare, or addressing social inequalities. These startups can have a significant impact on society and contribute to a more sustainable and equitable world.

Startups matter for several reasons:

Startups are also often founded to address a specific problem or need, and as such, they tend to be innovative and creative in their approach. They have the ability to disrupt traditional industries and come up with new products, services, and business models that can change the way we live and work.

Then there's job creation, startups are an important driver of job creation, as they tend to hire more people per unit of revenue than larger companies. According to the Kauffman Foundation, startups account for nearly all net job growth in the United States, imagine what this can mean for Africa!

Startups can contribute to economic growth by creating new products and services, increasing competition, and generating new revenue streams. Often more diverse and inclusive than larger companies, as they tend to attract people who are entrepreneurial, innovative, and passionate about making a difference. This can lead to a more diverse and inclusive workforce, which can benefit both the company and society as a whole.

At CIRCLES, we have seen we are all these characteristic and then some. Just like the profile, we are typically more agile than large corporates and can respond quickly to changes in the market. This can be particularly important in rapidly evolving industries or markets, where agility is critical to success.

Our top two experiences that's making us proud today are:

1. Innovation: We have provide our clients fresh, new ideas to that help them stay ahead of the curve in the area we are serving. By collaborating with us, our client's can tap into their creativity and bring new and innovative products and services to their workforce.

2. Agility. We are untapping some underserved functions within our corporate client's toolbox. By working with us, our clients gain access to their staff in a slightly new or fresh way, expanding their staff connection and reaching their staff where it matters.

Overall, startups matter because we have the potential to drive innovation, create jobs, stimulate economic growth, promote diversity and inclusion, and make a positive impact on society.

Corporates in Africa should invest in working with startups, it can bring a range of benefits to the continent through innovation, agility, access to new markets, access to talent, and social impact. By embracing collaboration with startups, corporates can position themselves for success in an ever-changing business environment.
