CO2 carbon emission reduction. Kinda hard but it matters folks!

Carbon Emission Reduction: 'The Need of the Hour'

Yup, we said it. CO2 carbon emission is an urgent pressing matter.

Living in Europe these past few months has heightened my urgency towards climate change. The goal has been set by 2030 EU countries want to reduce greenhouse gas by 55% and by 2050 they want to become carbon neutral.

The increase in carbon emissions is a major concern for our planet, Africans included!. With the rise in temperature, frequent natural disasters and health hazards, it is time to take some action.

One of the best solutions is to reduce carbon emissions.

So the first step towards carbon emission reduction is to switch to renewable energy sources like wind and solar power, challenging for my former neighbours in Cape Town and Johannesburg but still a challenge to take on. We can consider reducing our carbon footprint by driving less, walking or biking to work, and reducing energy consumption at home.

Governments and corporations can play a significant role in reducing carbon emissions. They can adopt policies that promote clean energy, incentivise green technology, and penalize the use of non-renewable energy sources. They can also get involved to help staff members get into clean energy habits and ways of thinking.

Reducing carbon emissions is not just about saving the planet, it is also about improving public health and creating a sustainable future for generations to come. So, let's take the necessary steps towards a greener and cleaner future. If you can't install solar power through out your home, if you can't bike to work in our jam packed South African roads, let's start small and share our rides.

In a small way we should start, an article inspired by those who made a first move!

Let's!
